MEET NICO FRANCIS
Nico Francis is a Eurasian writer and visual artist, born to a Vietnamese mother and a Mediterranean father along the southern European coast. Now based in Baltimore, Maryland, he lives with his husband and their two dogs, Sabrina and Salem.
A full-time visual artist and part-time graphic designer, Nico has always been drawn to storytelling. His writing moves between psychological thrillers, horror, coming-of-age fiction, and literary fiction, often through a queer lens. He gravitates toward stories that blur the boundaries between vulnerability and danger, beauty and unease, and the familiar and the unsettling.
Influenced by writers such as James Baldwin, Chuck Palahniuk, David Sedaris, and William Burroughs, Nico is drawn to the stranger, more complicated aspects of human nature. His work explores identity, desire, obsession, and the things people conceal from one another—and themselves.
When he's not creating, he's reading. Quiet in person, but loud on the page.
