MEET NICO FRANCIS
Nico is a Eurasian writer and artist, born to a Vietnamese mother and a Mediterranean father by the shores of the southern European coast. Now based in Baltimore, Maryland, he lives with his husband and their three dogs, Stella, Sabrina and Salem. Nico works full-time as a visual artist and part-time as a graphic designer, but much of his creative life is devoted to storytelling.
His writing explores the intersection of psychological thrillers, horror, coming-of-age and literary fiction, often through a queer lens. He gravitates toward stories that blur the line between vulnerability and danger, beauty and unease. Influenced by writers like James Baldwin, Chuck Palahniuk, David Sedaris, and William Burroughs, Nico’s work embraces the strange, the emotional, and the unsettling.
When he’s not creating, he’s reading. Quiet in person, but loud on the page.
